PENDAHULUAN – INTRODUCTION
Disaster Research & Response Center (DRRC) atau Pusat Riset & Respon Bencana (PRRB) Universitas Indonesia berdiri sejak tahun 2014 berlandaskan Surat Keputusan Rektor UI Nomor 0140A/SK/R/UI/2014 yang menyatakan berdirinya Pusat Riset dan Respons Bencana (Disaster Research & Response Center) Universitas Indonesia (DRRC UI) pada tanggal 4 Februari 2014. Namun, semenjak keluarnya Surat Keputusan Rektor Universitas Indonesia Nomor 909/SK/R/UI/2020 , menetapkan tentang pembentukan Disaster Risk Reduction Center Universitas Indonesia sebagai Unit Kerja Khusus Pelayanan dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Indonesia.
Unit Kerja Khusus Pelayanan dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Fleksibilitas Penuh (UKK PPM FP) adalah unit kerja yang didirikan dengan tujuan melayani permintaan dan kebutuhan masyarakat serta warga UI dalam kerangka penerapan dan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan keahlian sesuai dengan bidang ilmu atau disiplin ilmu yang diselenggarakan oleh Universitas dan/atau Fakultas berdasarkan Peraturan Rektor Universitas Indonesia Nomor 032 tahun 2016 tentang Unit Kerja Khusus Pelayanan dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Indonesia.
Unit Kerja Khusus Pelayanan dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Fleksibilitas Penuh (UKK PPM FP) Pusat Pengurangan Risiko Bencana atau Disaster Risk Reduction Center (DRRC) UI merupakan unit kerja yang bergerak dalam bidang pelayanan dan pengabdian masyarakat dalam bidang kebencanaan.
UKK PPM FP DRRC UI diharapkan dapat memberikan layanan terkait kebencanaan, training dan online learning bagi tenaga-tenaga kebencanaan, produk digital jasa dan pelayanan kebencanaan, inovasi-inovasi terkait kebencanaan, konsultasi dan advokasi kebencanaan di Indonesia sekaligus dapat memberikan profit bagi Universitas Indonesia.
DRRC UI membangun kapasitas untuk meningkatkan ketahanan masyarakat, menyelamatkan nyawa dan populasi yang terkena dampak bencana. DRRC melatih para pemimpin, melakukan penelitian, dan berkolaborasi dengan mitra untuk mempromosikan praktik terbaik dalam kesiapsiagaan, respons, pemulihan. Untuk menyelamatkan nyawa, aset berharga, properti, menjaga reputasi perusahaan dan negara, melindungi terjadinya pencemaran lingkungan. Mengelola risiko dan membangun masyarakat yang tangguh melalui Manajemen Bencana dan Manajemen Kelangsungan Bisnis.

The University of Indonesia’s Disaster Research & Response Center (DRRC) or Disaster Research & Response Center (PRRB) was established in 2014 based on the UI Rector’s Decree Number 0140A/SK/R/UI/2014 which stated the establishment of the Disaster Research & Response Center. Response Center) University of Indonesia (DRRC UI) on February 4, 2014. However, since the issuance of the Decree of the Rector of the Universitas Indonesia Number 909/SK/R/UI/2020, stipulates the establishment of the University of Indonesia’s Disaster Risk Reduction Center as a Special Work Unit for Services and Indonesian Community Service.
The Full Flexibility Special Service and Community Service Unit (UKK PPM FP) is a work unit established with the aim of serving the demands and needs of the community and UI residents within the framework of applying and developing knowledge and expertise in accordance with the field of science or discipline organized by the University and / or Faculties based on the Regulation of the Chancellor of the University of Indonesia Number 032 of 2016 concerning the Special Work Unit for Services and Community Service at the University of Indonesia.
Full Flexibility Special Service and Community Service Unit (UKK PPM FP) Pusat Pengurangan Risiko Bencana or Disaster Risk Reduction Center (DRRC) UI is a work unit that is engaged in service and community service in the field of disaster.
UKK PPM FP DRRC UI is expected to be able to provide disaster related services, training and online learning for disaster workers, digital products for disaster services and services, innovations related to disaster, consultation and advocacy for disasters in Indonesia while also providing profit for the University of Indonesia.
DRRC UI builds capacity to increase community resilience, save lives and populations affected by disasters. The DRRC trains leaders, conducts research and collaborates with partners to promote best practices in preparedness, response, recovery. To save lives, valuable assets, property, protect the reputation of the company and the country, protect the environment from pollution. Manage risk and build resilient communities through Disaster Management and Business Continuity Management.

Menjadi pusat kajian dan pengabdian masyarakat unggulan (center of excellent) dalam studi dan kajian multidisiplin di bidang penanggulangan bencana, yang mampu membentuk sumber daya manusia yang unggul dalam bidang kebencanaan.

MISI – MISSION
- Menemukan dan mengembangkan berbagai pendekatan atau metode ilmiah dalam penanggulangan bencana dan krisis, melalui pendekatan multidisiplin.
- Meningkatkan dan memperkuat pengetahuan, kompetensi, ketrampilan dan kehandalan civitas akademika UI dalam turut serta melindungi masyarakat luas dan menanggulangi bencana dan krisis.
- Menjalin dan memperluas jejaring kerjasama antar lembaga akademik dan non akademik di dalam dan di luar negeri, yang memfokuskan diri pada penanggulangan bencana dan krisis.
- Membantu berbagai pemangku kepentingan untuk meningkatkan efektifitas dan efisiensi dalam penanggulangan bencana pada tahap pra bencana, saat bencana dan pasca bencana.
- Mengembangkan sistem koordinasi lintas pelaku dalam praktek penanggulangan bencana di Indonesia.

- Finding and developing various scientific approaches or methods in disaster and crisis management, through a multidisciplinary approach.
Improve and strengthen the knowledge, competence, skills and reliability of the UI academic community in participating in protecting the wider community and overcoming disasters and crises. - Establish and expand cooperation networks between academic and non-academic institutions at home and abroad, which focuses on disaster and crisis management.
- Assist various stakeholders to increase effectiveness and efficiency in disaster management at pre-disaster, during disaster and post-disaster stages.
- Develop a cross-actor coordination system in the practice of disaster management in Indonesia.
- Encouraging the realization of disaster preparedness mechanisms and crisis situations within UI.
BENTUK ORGANISASI – ORGANIZATION FORM
Peraturan Rektor Universitas Indonesia No.0140A/SK/R/UI/2014 tentang Disaster Research and Response Center (DRRC) Universitas Indonesia didirikan pada tanggal 4 Februari 2014. Penamaan Disaster Research and Response Center (DRRC) Universitas Indonesia mengalami perubahan sesuai dengan Surat Keputusan Rektor Universitas Indonesia No.1128/SK/R /UI/2020 , menjadi Disaster Risk Reduction Center Universitas Indonesia.
Menetapkan Disaster Risk Reduction Center Universitas Indonesia sebagai suatu Unit Kerja Khusus Pelayanan dan Pengabdian Masyarakat di dalam lingkungan Universitas Indonesia dengan maksud melayani masyarakat melalui penerapan ilmu pengetahuan dan keahlian di bidang ilmu multidisiplin.
